This coffee is a naturally processed combination of SL14, SL28, and Catuai varietal. The natural process involves drying the coffee cherry whole so it can absorb sugars from the skin and mucilage. Often creating fruity, earthy notes and muted acidity. To improve complexity, the cherries are grown in the shade of other trees which ripens the cherries slower and is better for the environment. Ndungu Patrick is the owner of the lead farm, Baluku Yonasani, out of 462 farms that partner with Omwani Coffee Co. Located in the western region of Uganda, Kasese District.
